Answer: Yes, the chemicals are available anywhere. The book, "Black Powder and How to Make It" will tell you where to find them. I found mine within l0 miles of my home.

Answer: You don't have to; it comes 99.9% pure.

Answer: Yes, it is.


Question: How long does it take to make?

Answer: How long does it take to distill wine? It depends on how good you want the black powder to be. Used for fireworks, not much time at all but top grade rifle powder will take more time.

Question: Does your book, "Black Powder and How to Make It" tell how to start from nothing and end up with black powder?

Answer: No. The book is my recipe. For making high quality black powder, you will need the recipe (the book) and like all recipes, you will also need the right ingredients.

Answer:  The cost is low because you will make the simple tools less than $100.00 and you will need a stone tumbler and chim.
